Fleetwood away - up for the cup?

Recommended Posts

Blew our chance to go through other week, wasn't helped by them throwing themselves to the floor when we got near em though.

With no TV and limited tickets it's a blessing that we don't have to listen to Giddycunt and Laws griping about us again. Fucking hell, I feel for the fans that can't go that have to listen to that on a regular basis.

Pigs went strong and through. Meek lineup and worse performance by us. Weak defeative attitude by too many on here. Go on then, how many got injured tonight? Seems like naff all.

Settle for fuck all, you'll get fuck all.

Good job we not settling for fuck all in the league then.

Yeah because that's relevant

if it's £25 a ticket you'd make it relevant.

We missed our chance last week. Win at Ipswich and I'll accept a loss, even though I want us to win every game. As someone said, we aint gonna win the cup and we have more important matters this season

Oh, well. Their mélange of a team was a bit better / less clueless / more committed than our ditto.  No reflection on our kids making their debuts but the first team squad players, (Stockdale aside - beaten by a classic header), did themselves no favours at all. Especially the midfield, Brown, & Wilks.
We will be - as they say - concentrating on the league.

Give me Giddings and Laws on I follow over Rob O'Neill and John Pearson reading shout outs every 6 minutes in a match

Shut up and commentate on the game, I don't give a rats backside about so and so owl from some European country tweeting in! Read the shout outs at half time, not during the game!

Whilst not gutted I can't understand people happy we lost. Winning breeds winning.

Not sure when it became enshrined that a cup run will always impact on league form because that is complete bollocks.

It might, it might not. Just play your best team and try and win the game.  If you're worried about getting injuries then just never play any games.

I can understand both points of view but will never react positively to Wednesday losing, albeit with an incredibly weakened side to a piss pot team.
But I’m probably closer to ‘the cup is a distraction’ camp on this. We’ve just gone top of the league, let’s cement that, we now only have one set of matches to concentrate on.

I think its a fine line, most are not happy we lost just not throwing toys out the pram

The good news is if we lose Saturday I am planning on going full on ranty Moore out tirade

It was not a good performance, and as we have said before. It’s an opportunity for fringe players to stake a claim. Last night many did not. The kids did ok, but I thought our midfield three was really really poor.

But did I think we deserved to lose? I didn’t. We still created chances, we just didn’t take them.

I think there is a difference, you want to both test yourself against a Prem League side and not fuck up on national TV

I suspect the draw for the next round as much as the prioritising the league played a lot here

Imagine if Bannan, Flint et al had picked up an injury tonight.

Plus I think going toe to toe and getting the better of Newcastle certainly added to the feel good factor and confidence and assisted with the league form.   Going full strength more than justified.

The next round draw has certainly played a part in a lot of fans not being too disheartened we are out.

I blame Next and similar high street chains.

They're constantly leaving signage everywhere, reminding us that Menswear, Ladieswear and even Childrenswear.

The way things are going, it will soon be Themwear.
